Ben

(Disc no 2004/02395, Tibetan Spaniel Cross, 5-7 years)
Although Ben’s appearance is on the more unusual side his personality shines through as he greets you with a hoarse little bark and a wag of his curly tail. He then sits perfectly waiting for his treat. Ben is a great little dog but his new owners will need to make sure he has lots of mental and physical stimulation so that he doesn’t try to entertain himself by turning his hand to a bit of furniture renovation! Ben’s new home will be with owners who will spend time training him, he may be able to live with cats but he will need to be tested.

Lucy

(Disc no 2004/01924, Dachshund, 7-10 years)
Do not be fooled by appearances! Although Lucy is a lovely dog she certainly knows how to use her cute appearance and feminine charms to get her own way. Lucy’s new owners must be prepared to be firm but fair with her, in return they will be rewarded with a dog that is eager to please and affectionate. Lucy is good with other dogs but should be the only dog in the household, she may be good with cats but will need to be tested with one. Lucy should not go to a home with children as due to her size sometimes she is mistaken for a toy!

Digger

(Disc no 2004/2652, Jack Russell Terrier, 2-3 years)
Once you have seen Digger’s paws you will see where his name came from. This cheeky chappy has a personality a lot bigger than his tiny frame. Digger’s new owners will need to be firm but fair with him and carry on his training. Digger is good with other dogs, he may be good with cats but he will need to be tested as he hasn’t met any during his time at Battersea Dogs Home. Digger may be rehomed with children but due to his bouncy nature they would have to be teenagers as he may knock little ones over!

Tia

(Disc no 2004/02710, German Shepherd x Rottweiller, 6-12 months)
What a stunning girl; good looking, well behaved and excellent personality what more could you want from a doggy companion? Tia came to Battersea Dogs Home after her owners did not have enough time for her, we have found her to be a joy to be with. Tia will need a home with owners who do not leave her for long periods of time. Tia is good with other dogs but not with cats and she can be rehomed with a family.

Napoleon

(Disc no 2004/20169, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 5-7 years)
Napoleon loves people and is extremely interactive. He is good with other dogs but as he loves human company so much we would prefer to see him in a single dog household. He is not compatible with cats but can live with older teenagers. He needs dedicated owners who are at home during the day to provide him with all the love and attention he deserves.

Leo

(Disc no 2004/00519, Greyhound, 5-7 years)
What a character! Leo is an ex-racing greyhound who has been at Battersea Dogs Home since the end of January. He is very friendly but if you have food then he will be by your side for life. Having said this he is a true gentleman who will only take food when offered and then very gently. Leo is looking for a home with a garden without any other dogs or cats. Leo is only suitable for rehoming with older teens.

Milly

(Disc no 2004/40161, Bull Mastiff, 3-5 years)
Who couldn’t love a face like this? Milly is a quiet sensitive lady who is looking for a laid back, cosy home to relax in. Milly will need regular exercise to keep her trim but what better companion to take long leisurely walks with? Milly’s new family can have a dog as Milly is good with other dogs, she doesn’t like cats and we feel that she will be good with older teenagers; young ones will probably be far to hyperactive for her!

Splodge

(Disc no 2004/20032, Greyhound, 3-5 years)
Splodge is an ex-racing Greyhound with lots to offer new owners. He is house trained and travels well in a car. He loves human company and can sometimes get a little enthusiastic but he is easy to control. He would be suitable to live with other dogs but unfortunately due to his racing career he is not compatible with cats! Splodge would love nothing more than to have a home to call his own.

Frank

(Disc no 2004/01212, Greyhound, 2-3 years)
Frank was brought to Battersea Dogs Home in mid-March as he was not coping well in the track kennels he was living in. Frank has some nerve damage in his back legs and lacks muscles in this area so he is prone to falling over! Frank’s new owners will need to take it slow and steady to build up Frank’s legs, but you will be rewarded with unlimited amounts of affection and the odd skittish moment that is very entertaining! Frank can live anywhere as long as there is a garden. He has shown that he is very gentlemanly towards cats so these would not be a problem.
