Man dies in street attack

Detectives have launched a murder hunt after a man died in a vicious attack in a north London street.

The victim, 36, managed to stagger to his home in Arnos Grove before a relative drove him to the North Middlesex hospital at about 6pm yesterday.

But doctors were unable to save him and he died two hours later. Officers from the Specialist Crime Directorate have opened an incident room in Barking. Anyone with information is asked to call 020 8345 1212.
