All 32,000 members of the British Beer and Pub Association, who run more than half the UK's 59,000 bars and pubs, are being asked to back the move after their leaders held talks with the Government-Association spokesman Mark Hastings told the Mirror: "Irresponsible promotions damage the reputation of the sector, drive down standards and have no place in a well-managed licensed business."
