Magician critical after tiger attack

Magician Roy Horn was critical but stable in hospital yesterday after being mauled by a tiger at a Las Vegas show.

Siegfried Fischbacher, his partner in the 46-year-old double act Siegfried and Roy, was at his bedside.

Doctors said Horn had shown ‘limited communication’ but a friend, the comic Penn Jillette, said: ‘It’s really not good. But his heart’s still beating and there is still hope.’

Horn, 59, lost a massive amount of blood when the tiger savaged him in front
of a horrified audience at the Mirage Hotel-Casino on Friday.
