London says: Posh is to blame

An amazing two thirds of Londoners believe that David Beckham had an affair with Rebecca Loos - but the majority of people blame Posh for the affair!

The surprise results follow an exhaustive survey by This is London into 'Becksgate' - the showbiz sensation of the year.

We polled readers to find out what you thought of tabloid revelations that the England captain had sex sessions with his former Madrid PA.

Our first question, naturally, was whether you believed the allegations were true. An incredible 4,500 people voted and 68 per cent of you felt the detailed revelations could only mean one thing - that Goldenballs did do the dirty with the Dutch diva!

Interestingly, though, most of you didn't blame Rebecca Loos for the affair. When we asked 'Who do you blame?', 41 per cent blamed Posh (perhaps related to her reluctance to move to Spain with David?) with Beckham himself earning 37 per cent. Only 22 per cent of you thought it was Rebecca's fault the married father of two reportedly strayed.

However, you definitely don't think Posh will divorce David if the reports are true. Only ten per cent of you think Britain's top celebrity couple will split. Most of you are convinced the former Spice Girl will simply 'ignore' the stories (49 per cent), or lay low for a while before selling her side of the saga to the media (41 per cent).

And despite rocking our faith in Beckham's 'fairytale' marriage, his reported infidelity has not dented your belief in getting hitched! Only eight per cent of you feel the news has 'totally' dented your faith in marriage - 26 per cent believe it has 'a bit'.
