Liz 'in talks with baby's father'

Pregnant Liz Hurley is preparing for possible showdown talks today with the father of her baby after flying into Los Angeles.

Ms Hurley, 36, has publicly announced that she is pregnant by millionaire film producer Stephen Bing. She arrived off a British Airways flight from Heathrow at Los Angeles wearing skin tight white trousers, a fur-lined denim jacket and high heels.

As she walked through the airport terminal she refused to answer questions and was driven away in a limousine to her home in the city.

A friend of the former Estee Lauder model said Ms Hurley could be due to meet Bing in the next few days to discuss their baby. "Liz has arrived in a Los Angeles to sort out some business as she has been living here on and off," said the friend.

"But while she is in town it is likely that she will meet up with Steve at some point to discuss the pregnancy and the events of recent days."

The silver-haired Hollywood executive has kept a low profile since the pregnancy became public. At the weekend he was pictured leaving his Beverly Hills office after Ms Hurley announced the news.

Bing, 35, who has dated actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman and model Caprice, has had an on-off relationship with Ms Hurley but their five month romance has reportedly ended.

Bing is set to inherit $400 million (about £282 million) from his father Peter Bing, 67, who is listed as one of America's richest men. But while Ms Hurley underwent a three-hour scan at a London hospital recently, it is reported that former boyfriend Hugh Grant was with her, while Bing remained in California.

Bing is set to fly to the UK next week to launch his movie Night Of The Golden Eagle at the London film festival.

Ms Hurley's pregnancy was announced in a brief statement by her spokeswoman. It said: "Elizabeth Hurley is delighted to confirm that she is expecting a baby in April and Stephen Bing is the father."
