Leslie and Abi split

She stood loyally by him as his career crumbled in the face of rape and sexual assault allegations.

And when the charges against him were dropped, it was widely expected that John Leslie would propose to his girlfriend Abi Titmuss.

But less than two months later, it seems the pair can no longer bear to live under the same roof.

The blonde 27- year- old has moved out of his £1.5million home and back into her modest nurse's flat in Central London.

She was spotted furiously rowing with Leslie in the street before handing him back a case she had used to move her belongings.

The former This Morning presenter then roared off in his car while she stomped up the steps to the flat.

Yesterday a friend denied they had split for good and said they were taking a breather to assess their relationship.

'Their relationship has always been volatile', said the friend.

'They have had a series of bustups, but this week they each felt they needed some space to sort out their lives. Abi has moved back to her flat so they can have some space.'

The move follows a series of public bust-ups.

In August, neighbours called the police to Leslie's home in East Sheen, South-West London, after an early morning row.

At one stage Miss Titmuss was left sobbing outside and banging on the door pleading to be let back in. Friends say it was merely the latest in a long line of spats.

After meeting four years ago in a nightclub, they split at least a dozen times during their threeanda-half years together before deciding to go their separate ways. However, Abi rushed to be at the 38-year-old's side when he was named as the man who allegedly raped Ulrika Jonsson.

And she stood by him throughout his eight-month battle against allegations of rape and sexual assault.

When the charges against him were dropped, he clutched her hand as he fought back tears to pay tribute to her loyalty.

But in the weeks that followed, their turbulent relationship resumed.

They had a string of rows and went on a foreign holiday to try to patch things up, apparently without success. Meanwhile, Leslie is to give his first TV interview this week since the charges against him were dropped.

He will appear on Channel 4's Richard and Judy Show on Friday to discuss the traumatic case and his future in showbusiness.

The interview will also give Leslie a chance to chat about his forthcoming documentary, My Year of Hell, which will be broadcast on Sunday.

The tell-all video diary was shot as sex allegations against him were investigated by police. It will be used in the Sky One show in which he describes in detail the pressure he was under.
