Left-hand mouse is all right

Millions of office workers are risking longterm injury because of the way they use a computer mouse, according to new research.

Health and safety experts say controlling a computer mouse with the left hand, rather than the traditional right hand, is much better for the body's posture.

This is because positioning of letters on a computer keyboard forces users to place the mouse some distance to the right.

Researchers at the Robert-Sauve Occupational Health and Safety Institute in Montreal, Canada, found the volunteers using their left hands were able to complete everyday computing tasks using much smaller movements of their shoulders, arms and wrists.
