Nicole Kidman may have donned a prosthetic nose to play Virginia Woolf in The Hours - but it is her own cute button nose that Hollywood's plastic surgeons are interested in.

A survey of thousands of clients - many of them celebrities themselves - shows Kidman's nose was the most sought after last year.

In an annual project, the Beverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery compiles a table of the most coveted body parts, called Hollywood's Hottest Looks.

The institute's partners, doctors Richard Fleming and Toby Mayer, have found that - just as people rush out to buy a dress when a celebrity is seen wearing it - they are equally quick at booking themselves in for surgery so they can look like their favourite star.

In the latest survey, Halle Berry has the most wanted eyes - which famously filled with tears when she won her Best Actress Oscar for Monster's Ball - and Lord Of The Ring's star Liv Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith's lead singer Steve, has the most desirable lips.

Friends star Jennifer Aniston has been voted the celebrity with the must-have hair for the second year running, beating into second and third spots Debra Messing (Will & Grace) and Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex And The City). She might be able to teach her husband Brad Pitt a thing or two after the revelation that the 39-year-old heartthrob has been suffering from dandruff.

According to the survey, Salma Hayek has the winning jawline and chin, Jennifer Lopez the best cheeks and Michelle Pfeiffer the most coveted skin. And whose body do most plastic surgery clients want to pay for? Athletic Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie's.

As for the men - bad hair aside, more ask for Brad Pitt's eyes and lips than those of any other star. Ben Affleck's nose is a winner and Ethan Hawke has the most desirable complexion.

For a celebrity who has taken more punches on it than most, Russell Crowe is the owner of the favourite chin for the second year, while Leonardo DiCaprio has the best cheeks. Bond star Pierce Brosnan has the most asked-for hairstyle.

In the last survey, men claimed Tom Cruise's body was "too stubby" but, after his box-office hit Minority Report, his is the top figure.

Dr Fleming said: " Hollywood thrives on youthfulness and influences how people all over the world view themselves. Our patient surveys help us determine which features patients most likely will be requesting and how closely we can come to helping fulfil their beauty ideals."
