'I don't regret hurting Coleen because she keeps taking Rooney back'

The former prostitute who slept with Wayne Rooney says she has no regrets about hurting the footballer's wife.

Despite making a public apology last year, Helen Wood now claims Coleen has forfeited her right to sympathy by repeatedly forgiving the Manchester United and England star.

In an exclusive interview with ES Magazine, the 24-year-old, who had sex with the footballer when his wife was five months pregnant, said: "I don't regret hurting her because the way I see it is, if you want to be a dick get back with the person who cheated on you."

Miss Wood, from Manchester, also alleged that the England player had cheated "countless times" on his wife and that he had slept with "loads of my friends". Despite this, she said, she could not understand why he was repeatedly unfaithful.

"He is so unbelievably normal. Dead timid. Out of all the footballers that I've met I'll never know why he cheats," she said. "There's a lot worse than him. He reminds me of the boy at school who tried to be the lad's lad, but he's not."

Her comments follow a video apology she made last year after she was named as one of two prostitutes with whom Rooney had an encounter at a five-star Manchester hotel. In it she said: "If Coleen was in this room now, I'd like to say I'm so sorry for all the hurt you've been put through."

In the ES interview, which will be published tomorrow, Miss Wood also claimed she has no intention of selling the story of her encounter with a married British actor, who she is prevented from naming because of a court gagging order, although she admitted refusing to sign a contract from his lawyer.

However, she said she would be more likely to sell a story on another footballer with whom she allegedly had a relationship.

Miss Wood, who has a seven-year-old son, said: "I've no interest in selling a story on him [the actor]. No one even knows who he is. If I was going to sell a story it would be on the footballer that I kind of had an affair with, it wouldn't be on some shit actor that nobody has even heard of."

Despite her middle-class background Miss Wood, the only daughter of a university lecturer and a classroom assistant, said her parents' unhappy marriage led her to cut herself with razor blades as a teenager.

She said: "I had parents who bickered every night and effed and blinded at each other and I'd rather have been in a council house, living in poverty with two happy parents than have two parents who despised each other.

"When I was 15 I slit myself all the time with razor blades."

Miss Wood said she had decided to "cash in" on her notoriety since "everybody knew I'd been a prostitute".
