Huntley's 'Voodoo doll obsession'

Soham killer Ian Huntley is obsessed by voodoo rituals, spending hours painting dolls he then spears with needles, it was claimed today. The 30-year-old is said to draw faces on the dolls, clothe and name them, then "kill" them in ceremonies seen by fellow inmates at Wakefield prison, West Yorkshire, where he is serving a life sentence.

Huntley, convicted of murdering schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, is said to have formed friendships with child killer Roy Whiting - who was in a nearby cell in the prison's D wing - and paedophile Fred Bull, 70.

Bull was jailed for 12 years in 1999 for 31 offences against five boys and a girl.

One recently released inmate, convicted robber Barry Jackson, said: "Bull started making these clay dolls and giving them names and Huntley copied him.

"It makes you shiver. I saw the dolls once and they had pins sticking out of them."
