Hate preacher set free after sentence is cut

A hate preacher was back on the streets today after being released from jail early.

Abu Izzadeen, 33, - a British-born Muslim convert previously called Trevor Brooks - had his four-and-a-half-year sentence cut by the Appeal Court with four other extremists convicted of supporting terror. They were freed immediately as they had served half of their reduced terms.

Douglas Murray, director of the Centre for Social Cohesion, a Right-wing think tank, said: "The early release of Izzadeen demonstrates that British courts are still far from understanding the very clear and present danger that this country is facing from militant Islamists."
