The play tells of an actor edited out of the film he works on, as happened to Jones when he took a part in Grant’s 1999 movie Notting Hill.Jones, 35 — who has had stage success with The Play What I Wrote — said: “Hugh enjoyed the script — he didn’t do it for the money.”Grant, who early in his career was the voice of Red Stripe lager and Brylcreem adverts, need not worry about his cashflow. He could make £10 million for the sequel to Bridget Jones’s Diary.Missing Reel can be heard at 2.15pm on Wednesday 29 October.MORE ABOUTActors And ActressesBridget JonesHugh GrantKensington And ChelseaNotting Hill, LondonRomantic Comedy
