If there was one game I could have guaranteed hating this year, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? would be bang up top of the list. There was lots of chat about a virtual Chris Tarrant, with him taking part in trying to make the game as realistic as possible. Dull, dull, dull.
Just to be fair, I put the disc in at 8pm one night. Prised myself away at 3am. Now before you laugh at me, I should warn you: a) this game is seriously addictive; b) I'm very hard. The format for WWTBAM? is so simple it's ridiculous, with just Tarrant's face and the questions.
That's it. No, you can't really win any money and no, nothing else happens. But transcribing the game exactly as the TV show is a winner all round. Except the rendering of Tarrant's features. He's either been sucking a lot of sharp citrus fruit, or he has diarrhoea and is grimacing through the game in a valiant effort to keep it all in. (NP)
