A nice addition to the sword'n'sorcery genre, Drakan has two distinct and entirely different elements to it. First is the on-the-ground fighting, quest-based, where you are Rynn, flame-haired, green-eyed, full-of-bosom beauty who's also a bit handy in a scrap. Second is when she sits astride her dragon Arokh for some aerial combat. Both work very well, with the free-roaming environments more than large enough. It looks good, though nothing that hasn't been seen before (and some of the landscapes are a tad bare), and the gameplay is satisfying and entertaining. (NP)
