Police offer women protection if they agree to testify and the Home Office is looking at creating a shelter for trafficked women. But Chief Inspector Chris Bradford, of the Met's clubs and vice unit, said: "These girls are in a terrible situation because not only are there threats of violence against them, but also against their families back home. Pimps can and do give them a good hiding but will also give their brother or sister one back in Pristina. They're very frightened when they get here."
