Fancy meeting you

Tamzin Locise may have been wishing she had stayed at home.

The television producer arrived at a charity ball on the arm of Neil Morrissey, but was left looking like an awkward spectator as he renewed his friendship with Amanda Holden.

Miss Holden, 32, difficult to miss in a white Catherine Walker gown with see-through panel, showed a tactile interest in her old flame from Men Behaving Badly, stroking his back and touching his hair.

It was their brief fling in 2000 that first cast doubts on the actress's marriage to comedian Les Dennis, which is now over. But brief though it was, the couple showed they still have lots in common at the £1,000-ahead Dolce Vita Ball at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire.

Morrissey, 41, arrived with Miss Locise, introducing her as an old friend, and at first kept his distance from Miss Holden. But as the Dom Perignon flowed, they sat down for an intimate chat. 'She stroked Neil's hair while he caressed her back and at one point appeared to kiss her neck,' said a guest.

'Tamzin was clearly not thrilled. She managed to extract him from Holden once, looking rather angry, and she hugged him possessively as they went to the bar. He soothed her, but soon returned to Amanda's side.

'Tamzin later approached the pair and bent over Morrissey, appearing to kiss his neck. He did not respond and she walked off, dancing by herself near the table, holding a glass of red wine.'

Miss Holden has recently admitted finding new love with music company director Chris Hughes, who was not at the ball.
