Facelift at Greenwich's Winter Garden

A £3 million regeneration of Greenwich's Grade II-listed Winter Garden is under way.

The Victorian conservatory's central atrium in Avery Hill Park is to benefit from a facelift funded by the University of Greenwich.

New glazing and pipework will be installed and a maintenance tunnel last used in the 1880s will be re-opened. It could be finished by February.
