Homes and Property | Home PageDrug raid found Rolling Stone in bed, files revealBo Wilson12 April 2012Details of the notorious 1973 drug squad raid on Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards have been revealed for the first time in newly released National Archive files.Police who swooped on his home in Cheyne Walk, Chelsea, found the rock star in bed with his "common-law wife and housewife" Anita Pallenberg.They also found marijuana, heroin, cannabis resin, mandrax tablets and pipes as well as a revolver, shotgun and ammunition.Their report says Richards tried to hide several burnt spoons - evidence of paraphernalia used to cook heroin - by trying to stir drinks with them.At his trial Richards admitted all 25 charges but one, relating to the gun, and was fined just £250 amid claims of a police "stitch-up".MORE ABOUT1950s Pop And Rock60s And 70s US Rock80's RockPoliceRock
