Dome will reopen in 2007

The redevelopment of the Millennium Dome has slipped two years behind schedule and is not expected to reopen before 2007.

The delay is the latest crisis to hit the beleaguered structure, which was handed to a US-backed entertainment group last year.

It jeopardises ministerial claims that the Government would get a return of about £550million from the failed attraction.
