Delhi targeted in fresh threat

The terror group which claimed responsibility for the Mumbai attacks is threatening a new wave of atrocities in Delhi, it was reported today.

Intelligence sources claimed to have received an email from the Deccan Mujahideen, warning of a repeat attack, targeting Delhi's main international airport and three main railway stations.

Police in the Indian capital have begun random checks on rickshaws after receiving specific intelligence that the three-wheeled vehicles would be used in a bombing campaign.

The Times of India today reported on the email, which warned "of a repeat of the Mumbai terror attack at Indira Gandhi International Airport and the three major railway stations" in Delhi. A senior airport official confirmed that the airport had stepped up its security.
