Deadly junction will be made safer

A hazardous junction in Elephant and Castle is to be replaced.

Cyclist Meryem Ozekman, 37, was crushed to death by a lorry on the southern roundabout which connects Walworth Road to Newington Butts.

Work by Transport for London begins next month and is due for completion next spring as part of a £1.5 billion regeneration. The design involves closing pedestrian subways.
