Dash: I didn't have Posh affair

The New York rapper who became inextricably linked with Victoria Beckham has denied for the first time he had an affair with her.

As Rebecca Loos went on television to claim she knew an "intimate" secret about David Beckham that would prove they were lovers, Damon Dash spoke out about his own relationship with Victoria.

The hip-hop producer, who helped her to kick-start her flagging pop career, spent so much time with her when they were working together - and when they were not - it prompted speculation about problems in the Beckham marriage.

But last night Dash, who produced Victoria's single Let Yourself Go/This Groove, said they were no more than good friends.

Speaking at a party at a Mayfair nightclub for the launch of America Magazine, he also poured scorn on the allegations by Ms Loos and Sarah Marbeck that they slept with Beckham. "I think it's a load of BS," he said. "When I met Victoria and David they were the closest couple in the world.

"They were all over each other. I would say the rumours about David cheating are just nonsense - there is no truth in them. And for the record I didn't have an affair with Victoria, either. It was pure business.

"If it were up to me, I would advise the best thing Victoria should do would be to capitalise on the PR surrounding her at the moment. That's all I want to say on the matter."

Dash's loyal defence of the Beckhams will, however, do little to ease their consternation over the interview with Rebecca Loos to be broadcast tonight on Sky One. In it Ms Loos, 26, claims she knows something about "an intimate part of his body" and would prove it in court if required. According to Ms Loos, "only women who've been in bed with him" would know this - but she refused to say what it was.

In the interview, Ms Loos was asked by Sky News anchor Kay Burley whether the England football captain had any identifying marks on his body.

She said: "There is something I know about him, an intimate part of his body that I think only women who've been in bed with him would know. So I think if they did want to take me to court I could easily stand up and say, well ..."

Pressed if Beckham is circumcised, Ms Loos added: "I'm not going into that. I'm not talking about that. If I do ever need to talk about that it will be in a court not on television."

Asked if she is prepared to go to court, she replied, "Yes, of course."

The release of excerpts from the interview came as David Beckham, 28, reportedly made a last-ditch legal move to stop Ms Loos telling her story on television. He was said to have instructed lawyers Lee & Thompson to seek an injunction preventing the broadcast.

With Sky letting out choice parts of the interview in advance, any such move would seem to be too late. The excerpts include Ms Loos claiming Beckham fed her fresh strawberries the morning after she alleges they slept together.

She says: "He said, 'Do you want breakfast?' and I said 'No'. And he said, 'Have some fruit' - and he brought in some fruit, and he was feeding me fresh strawberries, and it was really romantic."

Despite all the criticism of her, Ms Loos said there was "no doubt in her mind" over what happened. "People are calling me a liar and calling me names and, you know, at the end of the day these are the facts.

"This is what happened, this is the truth."
