Children hurt in dog attack

Two children are seriously ill in hospital today after being savaged by a dog in the street.

The brother, eight, and sister, 10, were attacked by a doberman in Ascot last night.

The dog, which has been put down, savaged the girl's arm and the boy's sides.

A police spokesman said: "The doberman began fighting the children's dog. They intervened and the attack occurred."
