Chancellor sexier than Clooney!

The Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Dalai Lama are serious men with weighty responsibilities - but today another view of them is revealed.

For they appear alongside the likes of George Clooney, Nigella Lawson and Jonny Wilkinson in a celebration of modern-day sex gods and goddesses.

The list appears in the December issue of the Erotic Review, which also includes a photoshoot of chef Gordon Ramsay as Vulcan, God of Fire.

The literary erotica magazine polled 1,000 readers, writers and celebrities to compile the definitive list of 50 living gods and goddesses. Where you might have expected to see Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears there are Tory MP Boris Johnson and Sun Editor Rebekah Wade instead.

Erotic Review Editor Rowan Pelling said: "The eclectic list has unearthed sex symbols from all spectrums. On the goddess side, a young screen beauty Liv Tyler is far outnumbered by more mature ladies such as Charlotte Rampling."
