Brigadier harassed 'Miss Whiplash'

A top Army officer has been cautioned by Scotland Yard for harassing a prostitute, it emerged today.

Brigadier Ian Talbot, 54, paid more than £100,000 for bondage sessions where he was ritually humiliated and degraded by a "Miss Whiplash" in a London torture chamber.

The woman tried to finish the relationship four years ago but claimed Talbot refused to leave her alone. Last night Scotland Yard confirmed they had told Talbot he faced arrest unless he stopped pestering her. Talbot first began to visit the woman when he was a 26-year-old officer in the Dragoon Guards.

The married father-of-two enjoyed being tied up with ropes and handcuffs, having burning hot candle wax dripped over his chest and his nipples pinched with metal clamps.

The woman, who is now 58, said: "There was nothing that Ian wasn't into. He would wear long rubber stockings and a black leather corset - which he would get me to tie so tightly he could hardly breathe

She added: "The amount of torture the man could take was astonishing." In 2001 the woman tried to end her relationship with Talbot but claimed he persisted in seeing her.

The woman claims she has a letter from the Metropolitan police confirming that the Brigadier has been cautioned.

The letter reportedly from a police officer says: "I have spoken with Mr Talbot and warned him verbally. I have also issued him with a harassment warning form.

"It states that any further contact by him would make him liable to arrest."

But a friend of the Brigadier told the Sun: "It was Ian who ended the relationship. He thinks she is acting like a woman scorned." Talbot retired from his £80,000 a year job in June. He now works as a £40,000 a year clerk of the Goldsmiths' Livery Company in the City of London.
