Bosses are told to stop flyposting

Bosses at Britain's biggest rogue flyposting company were today being threatened with jail.

Four executives at the firm - exposed earlier this year by the Evening Standard - will be served with anti-social behaviour orders. If they breach the civil ruling, they face the possibility of being jailed for contempt of court.

Camden council today targeted a firm called Diabolical Liberties, regarded as the biggest player in the multimillion illegal trade. The council is to prosecute four executives - managing director Tim Horrox and executives Anna McAree, Dominic Murphy and James Heighway.

A Standard investigation found the firm generated income of almost ?8 million last year as a result of promotions including Dido's Life for Rent CD and Nike's Run London campaign.

Last week MPs praised the Standard's efforts to expose fly-posters and called for a change in the law to "hit them hard" with severe penalties.

The bosses are due to appear at Highbury Corner magistrates' court next week at which it will be decided whether to impose an immediate ban or call a full hearing later this year.
