Blue singer Lee Ryan urinated in cell and arrested for drink-driving

Blue signer Lee Ryan mouthed expletives to police and urinated all over his cell after he was arrested for drink-driving.

A judge fined the star £3,325 and banned him from driving for two years, with an added fine of £120 for causing criminal damage to his prison cell. He was also fined for failing to produce a specimen.

He was supported in court by all three members of Blue, who wore black suits and sat in the public gallery at the back of court.

Ealing Magistrates Court heard Mr Ryan was seen driving a friend’s Audi A3 wildly but refused to be breathalysed, branding police “c****” and telling them to “f*** off.”

Officers spotted him swerving as he drove his friend in her car along Uxbridge Road in Ealing, west London, at 5.30am on April 11.

The bleary-eyed singer was pulled over, but as he got out of the car he stank of booze and slurred his words.

Majit Mahal, prosecuting, said: "Officers could immediately smell alcohol from Mr Ryan's breath and his eyes appeared glazed.

"Asked if he had consumed some alcohol that night, Mr Ryan said 'Yes, a few'.

"Officers then noticed that there was an empty bottle in the pocket of the driver's seat. When Mr Ryan exited the vehicle, he was obviously unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred."

He was in such a "drunken state" that officers took him straight to Acton police station.

In an expletive-ridden rant, he shouted: "F*** off, f*** you, you f****** c****, f*** off."

The aggressive star was marched to a cell to cool off, but once inside he urinated all over the room and was sick on the floor.

But when officers returned later they saw urine trickling under the door of his cell.
