Ms Cassani's demotion prompted a public row between Lord Coe and former project manager Jane Willacy, who also quit in protest. Her departure was followed last week by PY Gerbeau, the former chief executive of the Millennium Dome, who resigned as an ambassador because of what he described as the " shocking" treatment of Cassani.Rejecting Mr Gerbeau's claim that there was a lack of high-level interest at No 10, the Prime Minister's official spokesman said today that he was giving his full support to the 2012 campaign.MORE ABOUTMillennium DomeO2 Arena
