Billy's £200k birthday bash

It was the night of the Starsky And Hutch premiere and there was only one party to be at. Er . . . Billy Zane's.

The actor, best known for his role as Kate Winslet's boring businessman husband in Titanic, held a birthday party in Shepherd's Bush.

And thanks to a budget of £200,000 providing lobster, caviar, crab and shrimp as well as buckets of champagne, and with Grace Jones specially flown in to sing, its sheer over-the-top extravagance - if nothing else - made it one of the parties of the year.

More than 100 models mingled with guests and there was more than a whiff of decadence in the air.

There was nothing the Seventies crimefighting duo could do against their Hollywood rival as guests at the Starsky And Hutch premiere skipped their after-show party at the Trap club in Soho and headed for Zane's bash instead.

Zane was celebrating both his 38th birthday and the fact he's just landed a £30 million production deal.

Among the crowd happy to celebrate with him were Callum Best, Dolph Lundgren, singer Jay Kay, actor Clive Owen and Asprey & Garrard supremo Laurence Stroll, chomping a giant cigar with a brunette on his arm.
