Bicycle parking device is a shining success

A steel hoop that converts lamp-posts into secure bicycle stands is to be launched on Friday.

Last year Camden ran trials of Cyclehoops and now it is to become the first council in the country to install them on lamp-posts.

It has been estimated that the increase in cycling will require another 60,000 cycle spaces in London.

The hoops, designed by Anthony Lau, 27, could save councils money as a cheap option.
