Behind the scenes: why Silverstone makes the British Grand Prix like no other

With Silverstone's future as the home of the British Grand Prix thrown into uncertainty this week, the people behind the scenes of the event explain why the racecourse is so special.

Apparel partner of the racing event Farah Menswear has produced a video series documenting the work of the people that make it happen.

Operations Manager of F1 team Sahara Force India, Mark Gray, has given an insight into what it's like to work at the motoring circuit on race day. He is in charge of 60 full-time staff and the man in the pits who faces a car hurtling towards him at 80 km/h.

With Silverstone's track featuring an 180mph corner, the team responsible for maintaining a smooth race is vitally important.

Mark says: "logistically Silverstone is the hardest Grand Prix for me, despite being the closest."
