'Abusive' twins, 10, served with Asbos

Twin 10-year-old brothers have been made the subject of anti-social behaviour orders following complaints that they made life "intolerable" for residents in a block of flats.

Magistrates in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, imposed the order on Ben and Nathan Weeks after an application by Great Yarmouth council. "The order was made yesterday following a move by the borough council," said a police spokesman.

"We didn't have a great deal to do with the legal process but are aware of what has been going on. The local authority had received complaints about these boys acting in an anti-social manner for several months."

Police said there had been complaints that the twins and three other children had harassed residents of the block of flats where they lived. There were allegations of screaming and shouted abuse, swearing, fighting and of music being played too loudly, said the spokesman.

Residents also claimed that a ball-bearing gun had been fired at windows.
