Abi's hot night out

Abi Timuss, the girlfriend of John Leslie, left the former television presenter at home in East Sheen to enjoy a night out with friends.

First stop was the Wellington Club in Knightsbridge. The 27-year-old nurse was led by the hand by one of her friends as they walked into the club last night.

Next on their tour was Funky Buddha, the Mayfair venue launched last year by Jade Jagger.

The evening must have provided a welcome chance to forget the recent trauma of her 38-year-old boyfriend's ordeal, which ended at Southwark Crown Court last month with his being cleared of all charges.

When the storm broke following Leslie's naming on television as the man who allegedly raped Ulrika Jonsson, the first person to phone offering support was Ms Titmuss.

They had parted some time before following an on-off relationship, but from that moment on her loyalty has been unswerving.

She has criticised Jonsson over her refusal to speak out after Leslie was named by Matthew Wright on his Channel 5 chat show as the anonymous rapist in her autobiography Honest, saying: "I ask myself all the time how she could have allowed this to go on without saying a word for or against John."

She added: "I feel she has done the most dreadful disservice to women by the way she's handled this."
