Abbey worker falls to his death

An Abbey employee plunged to his death from a fifth-floor window after being questioned by a detective agency seeking the author of a document alleging financial and sexual corruption.

Richard Chang, 48, a senior employee, fell from a balcony at the bank's London HQ "minutes" after he was quizzed by the Kroll agency.

Scotland Yard has passed the case to the coroner's court.

It is believed Mr Chang's family has hired a solicitor to carry out an independent investigation. The document made claims over bank contracts.

Abbey and Kroll declined to comment.
