29C forecast for this weekend

London is set for the hottest weekend of the year so far, forecasters have predicted.

The capital, with temperatures expected to rise to 29C on Sunday, is likely to be the warmest place in Britain and the good weather should last until the middle of next week.

Temperatures are not expected to beat last year's records for the time of year. However, a forecaster added: "There will be a marked increase in temperature this weekend, with London getting the best of it. There is little cloud, although we would expect a bit of a haze. It all looks like being a great weekend."

The rest of the country is also set for a warm weekend, with only parts of Wales likely to get cold weather.
