The home of classic American sitcom The Golden Girls is on the market for the first time in 65 years.
While the quick-fire comedic adventures of senior citizen housemates Blanche, Dorothy, Rose and Sophia in the Eighties and Nineties were set in Miami, in a ranch-style bungalow that viewers grew to know from outside, the property is in fact in the well-heeled Los Angeles neighbourhood of Brentwood – and the action inside was filmed on a set, not in the original house.
A blend of Japanese and Hawaiian plantation architecture, the LA house is on the market for £2.2 million.
It covers 2,901sq ft, with four bedrooms, four bathrooms and spacious living areas, featuring vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors.
