First look: Restaurant Ours — Tom Sellers shows us round his newly opened Kensington site

Accessed via a 30-metre ‘catwalk’, with more than 2000 indoor plants and boasting a triple-height dining area, Restaurant Ours is no shrinking violet. But then, a restaurant from Tom Sellers was never likely to be.

The young chef opened his first restaurant, Story, aged 26 and won a Michelin star within just five months thanks to clever and creative dishes such as the now legendary beef dripping candle.

Three years later, he has just launched his second London site, Restaurant Ours in Kensington.

The seasonal menu is built around both traditional and modern British and European dishes, with the likes of crab with avocado and apple sitting alongside a selection of raw dishes, black truffle tagliatelle, and monkfish with squid ink and courgette.
