Casa Negra - bar review

The buzz: Sexy Soho hangout La Bodega Negra’s hot little sister arrives in Shoreditch.

The deal: We fell for the laid-back, colourful vibe of this place, and loved the Mexican beach shack-style bar, tables and chairs – not to mention the genetically blessed bar staff. The cocktails are ace and aren’t too bank-breaking at £8-10 – we could have stayed there all night sampling their frozen margaritas.

Good for: hot dates and hanging out with your amigos pre-dinner downstairs.

Order: Soul Happiness – a dangerously moreish combination of El Jimador reposado, fresh lemon and homemade watermelon syrup, served straight up in the prettiest glass – or ask for the Margarita Flight.

By the way: they’re opening their own ‘playroom’ downstairs, piñatas and all.
