London is set to see poochie proof that the capital’s pop-up scene has gone barking mad, as the world's first pop-up staffed entirely by dogs opens its doors in Soho.

Yes, London, capital of the United Kingdom, home of the Queen, thriving business centre and bastion of world-class theatre, will now welcome dog waiters to its muttropolitan streets.

Bad-to-the-bone pups have been recruited to deliver cans of beer, free of charge, at a temporary bar opening in Soho on Friday May 6.

Whether you think the idea is pawesome or pawful, Bar D’Alsace-tian will open with dogs dressed in harnesses, with a miniature barrel mounted upon it, which will deliver a bottle of Kronenbourg to customers who’ve had a ruff day.

Unsurprisingly, the pop-up is a PR stunt for Kronenbourg 1664. Brand director Ifeoma Dozie, who is paid to think up such things, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be opening the doors on the world’s first bar staffed by dogs. It provides customers with a truly unique experience and is the ideal way for us to bring the ‘Alsace-tians’ to Kronenbourg fans.”

Bar D’Alsace-tian will open on Greek Street on Friday May 6 between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Reservations must be made at billetto.co.uk. Each table recieves two complimentary bottles of Kronenbourg 1664 as well as bread and cheese.
