Tuck into A Midsummer Night’s Dream themed afternoon tea to mark Shakespeare’s anniversary
400 years have passed since the death of the heroic playwright and author William Shakespeare. To celebrate, Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe will be hosting the A Midsummer Night’s Dream themed afternoon tea.
Taking place on April 23, the themed afternoon tea party will be overlooking the Thames ahead of Emma Rice’s staging of A Midsummer Night’s Dream the same night.
Guests can enjoy the sweet and savoury menu that closely relates to the characters, food and drink presented in Shakespeare’s play, including pea flower, from Oberon’s love potion.
The themed afternoon tea party wouldn’t be complete without the special crockery that you will use. Designed with A Midsummer Night’s Dream themes, the whole restaurant will be reciting the play by the end of the day.
