Frederick's is my all-time favourite restaurant in London. Its huge conservatory dining room, the walls hung with arresting modern paintings, and the Mediterranean-style garden are gorgeous when the weather's hot. Dinner there is definitely a treat, although sometimes I just go for a drink at the bar, as I live nearby.

Another local haunt, Cafe Kick has three table-football tables - a game I love playing, so that's the main reason for going there. The food is good too - I usually have the Spanish omelette or the chorizo salad - and they have a fabulous selection of Spanish and Portuguese beers. It's unpretentious and feels very Continental in an authentic, not an ersatz, way.

I love coming here with my best friend, Ellie. We go for a swim at the health club and then practically sprint down the road to Cafe Flo for a huge bowl of moules mariniëres - which they do brilliantly - with chips and a bottle of wine.

It's one of the best Chinese restaurants in Soho and my boyfriend and I come here quite often when we've been to see a film. There are usually lots of Chinese people eating here, which is clearly a good sign. My favourite dish is the lobster noodles - not the cheapest thing on the menu, but delicious.

The upstairs dining room is very attractive, with purple baize and small oil paintings on the walls - as dusk descends, you look up and see flickering candles reflected in the glass roof. The food is very good - I love the pea and asparagus risotto - and with coffee they serve the most exquisite petit fours.
