You have to be an international diamond thief to eat here, but it's worth every penny. I've been once, for a treat. I thought it would be full to the rafters with braying Fulham types but it's much more refined than that. Great food, great wine, great views.

I love this place. It's my local Sunday morning hang-out. Run by a cheeky Portuguese family and always packed, it has one of the most impressive ice-cream displays known to man. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at really good prices.

A revolution in Indian cuisine. It's canteen-style, unpretentious and the service is great. It's run by Alastair, who really knows his curries and is always on hand to advise should you be bamboozled by their menu.

This is classic award-winning 'nose-to-tail' eating, which means they cook absolutely everything. It's a real gourmet experience and always full of famous people. They have a great bar and they bake their own bread. The maitre d' is called Tom and it's worth tipping him heavily.

A good place to take your parents when they come to visit you in London. My dad spent the meal telling me I should buy a blazer, but luckily this didn't put me off the bustling atmosphere and the great food. It's ideal for pretheatre/going out slap-up feed.
