The secret supper club like no other: Gingerline HQ returns

For pop-up foodie enthusiasts comes the latest in an ever growing list of arty pop-up eateries… but this time it’s a secret.

Part hideout, part parallel reality, Gingerline HQ is a clandestine dining experience for London’s food adventurers. The menu, the concept and above all, the location, remain top secret until the very last minute, and all guests are sworn to secrecy. The mantra of this kooky concept being, ‘Loose lips sink ships’.

Gingerline HQ has been created and curated by a group of friends, united in their love of theatre, art and food.

Initially conceived in August 2010 as a pop-up dining experiment for a small group who booked without knowing where or what they would eat, Suz, Kerry and Syd never imagined how popular such a vague endeavour would be.

Buoyed by this success, and revelling in the creative and culinary freedom that a secret concept gave, they began to explore how drawing in other elements could enhance the dining experience.

Narratives were honed, costumes donned and live performers added, and with a whole host of projection, sound and lighting props they began to develop both their tables and menus into an immersive artistic experience – all kept curiously secret until their guests arrived.

Now, two years and 6,000 guests hence, Gingerline HQ is pushing for world domination, albeit it on a mysteriously secret scale.

Siberian circuses, submarine mess halls and underground Victorian banquets have all featured, and now they are taking bookings for a series of exciting events running until March 2.

Simply book online, and hover near any station between Highbury and Islington and Crystal Palace. At 6pm you’ll receive a text telling you where to go. Upon arrival you’ll be welcomed with a cocktail, a delicious four course meal and a whole host of surprises.
