The 39th and 40th floors of the iconic building, usually available to members only, will open to the public for a series of lunches, dinners and Champagne afternoon teas throughout December.

The teas will feature finger sandwiches, cakes and pastries, macaroons and mince pies as well as a glass of Champagne.

What’s more, while most people will receive a fake diamond in their Champagne flute, one lucky diner each sitting will receive a real one to take home with them.

The afternoon teas will be held on 4, 11 and 18 December from 12.30-4pm, and cost £65 a person.

Diners can also book lunches and dinners on select dates between November 28 and January 1, while tickets for an exclusive New Year’s Eve party are selling for £290 a pop.
