Who goes there?

Why?

Tourists come for real, old-fashioned fish and chips. Regulars prefer the addition of new, healthier, grilled and pan-fried options.

What do they wear?

Lunchers tend to be suited businessmen but at any other time, informal clothes do nicely.

Tables 16 and 45 are secluded, perfect for secret meetings over a plate of cod and mushy peas.

Who to know? This is a family-owned restaurant but Jayne Lewis is the meeter-and-greeter who 'represents the family' in a slightly sinister-sounding way.
