Table talk

Toby Young|Evening Standard
10 April 2012
Who goes there?

Ultra-fashionable 'Westbourners', sybarites and style mavens. Reese Witherspoon, Minnie Driver, Mena Suvari, Trinny Woodall, Patsy Kensit and Richard Young are among the starry crowd, plus Ralph and Joseph Fiennes who pop in after a session at the nearby gym.
Why?

The fusion of cafe culture and boutique shopping allows you to have a nibble and a gossip while gazing at the delicious clothing, alpaca throws and rustic homewear. It's child-friendly, too.

What do they wear?

Tibetan scarves, ethnic slippers, and Nicole Farhi, of course.

Best table

Table 7 in the corner is perfect for a sly peek at the great and the good as they enter. Table 23 next to the pram-park is always oversubscribed. The best-kept secret is the courtyard.

Who to know?

Head chef Annie Wayte flits between New York and Bond Street, but assistant manager Gil Reddick is always on hand to assist.
