Cassava chips (£3.50) were just-cooked fresh, mains of moqueca baiana (monkfish and prawns in spiced coconut milk, £12.50) and salada Guanabara (mango, palm heart, sweet potato and rocket, £9) were adequate but over-priced for their size. Caipirinhas (£5), as you would expect, were spot on and potent, while an apple mojito - based on Stoli Vanilla - was very downable. The stand-out beverage, though, was a non-alcoholic mango, passionfruit and banana juice combo called Tropical Fusion (£3), exploding with goodness.
