This week there's plenty to get your teeth stuck into on the food and drink circuit. From a Red hot, female duck to a fashionista's idea of heaven,

Expect choices like panfried female (!) duck breast infused with brandy, honey and ginger, with Asian pear and bok choy; and vegetable moneybags with dragon-fruit jus. Cocktails are similarly exotic and there's a 1am licence from Thursday to Saturday.

An early dinner or girlie lunch at dear old Quag's followed by a wander round the Giorgio Armani Retrospective at the Royal Academy Of Arts - what a perfect fashionista day out. Quaglino's and the Academy have teamed up to offer a joint deal: entrance to the exhibition plus two courses for an all-inclusive £20. There are three choices for each course, the likes of gravadlax, braised beef with gremolata, and chocolate and coffee cake with Tia Maria sabayon. The offer runs for the duration of the Retrospective: October 18 to February 15 (excluding Christmas and New Year).

Here's a new twist to the moniker 'celebrity chef'. Jimmy Bradley of New York's The Red Cat, is a celebrity magnet: in his position as executive chef, he's fed the likes of Harrison Ford, Al Gore, Hilary Swank, Renèe Zellweger (the list we were sent is lengthy and slightly hilarious). He's now doing a stint at the Lanesborough as guest chef until Saturday, so it's our chance to see what all the Manhattan mania was about. Set lunch is £30 a head, dinner from £35; his style has been described as 'Martha's Vineyard by way of Morocco'.
