Asparagus is a hero vegetable. Each spear packs a punch of vitamin K and vitamin C. The British variety is only in season for eight weeks a year but the good news is that the season starts now. Here are a few plates to tickle your fancy.

Spring

Skye Gyngell’s restaurant, always first out of the block with seasonal produce, is already plating up English asparagus with fonduta.
